What happens when my free trial ends?
You will not be locked out. After your trial expires, you move to the free tier which gives you 60 minutes of transcription per month. Upgrade any time to unlock unlimited usage.
Is my audio really processed on-device?
Yes. Vaak runs the Whisper speech-to-text model locally on your Mac using Metal GPU acceleration. Nothing is sent to our servers. No recordings are ever uploaded or stored anywhere.
How does cancellation work?
When you cancel, auto-renewal stops but your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that date, you move to the free tier. You can re-subscribe any time.
What is the difference between Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime?
Monthly and Yearly renew automatically until you cancel. Lifetime is a one-time payment with no renewals: pay once, use forever. All plans include unlimited transcription and every future update.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If Vaak is not working for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund. No questions asked.
Does Vaak work on Windows or Linux?
Not yet. Vaak is macOS only right now, requiring macOS 10.15+ and Apple Silicon for GPU-accelerated inference. Windows and Linux are on the roadmap.
What happens if I go over 60 minutes on the free tier?
The pill locks until the 1st of next month, when usage resets. You will see a prompt to subscribe if you need more minutes sooner.
Will my data be sold or used for training?
Never. Nothing leaves your device. We literally cannot sell or train on data we never receive.
